This is day 15 of my 31 days of coffee shop stories. Welcome.
Yesterday just slipped through my fingers. I wanted to talk to you about music and today was supposed to be about live music. So, because I was a lazy one, today will be 2 in 1.
Music is a big part of our lives, so it was only natural that music would become part of the coffee shop life, too. Be it live jazz music (we have Luiza Zan and Sorin Romanescu as our lovely guests) or clients playing the harmonica or the guitar under the shade. We have many of our regulars involved in creating playlists and we even invite one-time clients to select a piece they would like to listen to.
The current coffee shop menu is a collection of playlist recommendations, gathered from friends and clients. Music that soothes the mind and soul. Music that makes you move your feet under the table.
What is very important about the music we listen to, is that we try to keep it as far away from mainstream as possible. We are more into jazz, than anything else, but we have the occasional indie pop playlist or some classical music. Or even rock from the golden days. And music is never noisy. The volume is low enough to hear one’s thoughts, but high enough not to hear somebody else’s thoughts.
You can listen to our menu recommendations on Grooveshark.
And here is my favorite playlist, for a lovely evening.
